I’m thinking of signing up for a gym class with Anya on Saturdays when Adrian’s off playing golf. Was hoping to get some feedback from people out there regarding Gymboree, The Little Gym, My Gym and JWT Kids. Gymboree at Harbourfront would be my first choice in terms of distance from my place but I’ve heard pretty bad reviews about it like how there’s too much sitting down and too little moving around and how they do exactly the same thing every week for every lesson.
From the various websites I think these programmes will be suitable for Anya:
Gymboree Play & Learn 3
Explore two-way communication. Play environments encourage discovery, balance and coordination as parents learn to understand how their child interacts and communicates with them and the world.
Sat 1.00pm – 1.45pm, Harbourfront Centre
$50 + $360 [8 classes] or $399 [12 classes]
JWT Kids Gym Tumbles Wobblers
Circle time, song time and game time are really fun, but my favourite thing at JWT is when I crawl through tunnels, hang on bars and swing. Plus, I get to show off for my mum or dad.
Sat 10.45 – 11.30am, UE Square
$60 + $305 (I’m not sure how many classes this is for)
My Gym Waddlers
Discover your infant’s natural movement abilities in this delightful program for parent and child. Share the excitement as your baby crawls, climbs, hangs, swings and tumbles for the first time. With an emphasis on development of social skills, this program is geared towards the exploration of movement. Toddlers are elated as they are introduced to a vast array of fantastic and stimulating new experiences.

The Little Gym Parent – Child Classes
4 months-3 years
Children will enjoy motor development and rhythmic activities, group games, tumbling, movement, exploration, songs, ball play, and parachute activities. Classes end with bubbles, stamps and smiles! The child attends these classes with one parent or guardian.
The schedule on the Internet is for 2009 and I couldn’t find the cost of the programme on the website.
Can anyone tell me anything about these gyms and these classes?
