Anya’s First Movie

I’ve been updating like crazy because it’s the March holidays. Ok, it’s not like I have no work to do but I’m just so distracted all the time! Heh heh. Anyway, we went to watch a movie the other day. It was Anya’s first movie ever. I didn’t want to bring her to the cinema before this because 1. I didn’t think she’d really understand or appreciate what was going on 2. I had doubts about her ability to sit still for an extended period of time 3. I didn’t want her making noise and disturbing the rest of the people. I remember watching Terminator Salvation (or some other violent, loud movie) and a couple brought in their baby who started crying very loudly!

Anyway, we watched ‘Gnomeo & Juliet’ which was about 1.5 hours and she only got restless at the end. She got very excited whenever she saw rabbits so it was fortunate that there were only a few other people in the cinema. It was a pretty fun experience for the both of us so I’m already planning our next movie outing! :) We’re probably going to catch ‘Hop’ because it has Anya’s 3 favourite things: rabbits, eggs and sweets!

A few of the cinema chains have special movie sessions for mothers and babies but they are always on weekdays so only SAHMs (or those on leave) can go! :( GV has Mums & Babies, Cathay has Mom ‘n’ Tots and Shaw had some promotion recently too. Oh well, guess we’ll have to wait for the next school holidays unless we wanna squeeze with the evening/ weekend crowds!

she is clearly much shorter than I thought

lots of space in the theatre

we’re watching this next!
