After art class on Saturday, we went over to The Grassroots’ Club at Yio Chu Kang for Jotham’s first birthday celebration. It was held in the Children’s Playroom which is an indoor playground with an area for the buffet to be set up and for people to sit around.
What I like is that the play area is reserved exclusively for you and your guests so you don’t have to worry about random strangers or about older, rough children pushing and shoving their way around. The play area has a ball pit and a low slide which are suitable for the babies and a more challenging second level and high slide for the bigger kids. The fluorescent lighting in the room is a bit harsh but there are beautifully painted Care Bears murals on every wall which help to cheer the room up significantly.
Jotham was such a good birthday boy! He played and ate, took a quick nap and then woke up in time to pose for lots of photos with his guests and the cake.
