Dreams and Reality: Masterpieces from Musée d’Orsay

Met up with the cousins yesterday and we brought the kids to the National Museum for the ‘Dreams and Reality’ exhibition. Anya had many questions which were not very easy to answer, like, “Why are there babies flying around?”, “Why is the woman not wearing clothes?”, “Why are they all dead?” and “Why is there so much water?”. She also got restless quite easily so I had to find things that she could relate to. Managed to interest her in the pointillism technique and she tried to do some dotting of her own at the activity area.

We went to the Food Gallery afterwards and then sat down for some drinks and desserts. It was really nice to hang out with the cousins. I think school has a positive effect on Anya because she was much friendlier towards Asher and Aidan than before. I would very much like to go back to see the exhibition again before it ends on 5 Feb, but I’m planning to go without the kids!

Anya insisted on wearing silly fluffy slippers!
