I attempted to go and see the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island but the queue was so long on that cold Monday morning that I decided to postpone that to the next day and I spent some time exploring the Financial District instead.
Debs and I had dinner at Cho Dang Gol and the place was filled with Koreans and that’s obviously a good thing for a Korean restaurant. They are apparently famous for their handmade soy bean curd that’s made fresh daily. The bean curd, along with everything else we ordered, was delicious. The portions are generous too and accompanied by many little side dishes.

Met up with Colin in New York because he was there for work. So good to see him again! Although he’s familiar with New York, he’s never been up to the top of the Empire State Building so we went up together. That’s another attraction included in the CityPASS.
The view was fabulous but the wind was really strong up there and it was freezing! When we were almost done up there, the sky turned really dark and it’d started snowing by the time we got to the bottom.
