I have a thing for dressing the kids in matching clothing and I plan to do it for as long as I can and as long as they are willing to humour me! For now, Anya actually likes dressing up in the same print as her brother and will often pick out matching outfits they can wear together. One of her current favourites is a matching set from Mama Shoppe.
The clothing from Mama Shoppe is handmade by a team of ladies from Emmaus Women’s Centre in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. This centre provides food and lodging to young women from disadvantaged backgrounds and trains them in dressmaking and other practical skills so that they will be able to find meaningful employment to support themselves and their families.
I think it’s really meaningful to be able to shop and know that the money spent is going towards making life better for someone else less fortunate! But just as importantly, the clothing from Mama Shoppe is well-made and very comfortable. Made from 100% cotton fabric imported from the USA, there are dresses for girls, shirts for boys, blouses & dresses for ladies and shirts for men, all in coordinating fabrics. I think the heart-back dresses and tops for girls are simply adorable!
