I visited Tang Music Box with a few other mummy bloggers last month and we had a great time singing our hearts out! It’s been ages since I had a karaoke session!
I really like how Tang Music Box is family-friendly and there’s no sleazy feel whatsoever. That’s not something I can say about other karaoke joints which tend to be dimly lit and perpetually smelling of stale smoke.
When you enter Tang Music Box, you are greeted by a welcoming display of snacks and drinks at The Meeting Place. There’s a staggering array of drinks and a variety of snacks and tidbits so you’re not stuck with the usual cocktail nuts and salty chips.
There are rates and packages to suit all group sizes and needs so you can have the flexibility to decide what’s best for your budget. You can even have up to 30 people in some rooms! There are also special promotions for every day of the week and after-school specials for students and school staff. That’s definitely music to my ears. :)
I wasn’t really comfortable with the touchscreen control panel to the side of the TV screen because I’ve always used the remote control system to select songs, but according to my friends who frequent karaoke joints, that’s the way things are done these days. It would have been better if it’s on some mobile tablet device so you don’t have people crowding around the control panel trying to choose songs while one person sings.
I enjoyed my time at Tang Music Box and would love to take the kids there to hang out. I’m sure they’ll go gaga over the snacks and drinks. Looking forward to it even if it means I’ll have to sing their favourite songs over and over again!
