My dear friend Qi is getting married on 20 Nov! We had a hen tea for her on Friday and it was a civilised chit-chat session. Most of the girls had to leave around dinnertime but Ju, Juan and I stayed on to tease the bride-to-be for just a little bit. She was extremely sporting and we had fun!
The groom-to-be was there before our tea started so had to pose for random photos

On Saturday, Anya and I attended my ex-colleague’s wedding lunch at Crowne Plaza at Changi Airport. The silly baby didn’t take her nap before that so she fell asleep in the cab. Fortunately, she was quite ok at the wedding and wasn’t grumpy or anything. Most of my ex-colleagues haven’t seen Anya for a really long time so it was nice that they could meet her again. The groom’s Japanese and his mother said that Anya looks like a Japanese baby. Well, I’ve heard that many times from various people but I guess when an actual Japanese says it, it must be true. Haha.
After the wedding lunch, we went to my bible study friend’s place for a pumpkin playdate party. There were many little kids there and a lot of them were born in Mar 2009 like Anya but they are all bigger than Anya! She’s really a tiny little thing. She was supposed to wear her strawberry costume but it was raining so heavily that we were just glad to get to the house without being drenched and didn’t bother with her costume.

It was another weekend of spending time with friends and family. Went to Auntie Iris’s place for some yummy mee siam. Selena hasn’t given birth yet but it should be anytime soon! Also attended Wynne’s wedding dinner at The Fullerton Hotel and met up with some secondary school and JC friends that I haven’t seen for ages. I’ve known Wynne for the longest time; we were in GB in primary/secondary school together and in ACJC choir after that.

Yesterday was a busy busy day! I had a coastal fieldtrip with my Sec 3 pupils from 8.30am to 2.30pm and we went to Labrador Park, East Coast Park and Changi Beach Park. After that, I dashed over to Grand Mercure Roxy Hotel (still in t-shirt and shorts!) for Alex’s one-month celebrations! He’s such an adorable baby!

Went home to rest for a bit after that before getting ready to go for Uncle Zai’s wedding. Was looking forward to it because I really wanted to see my cousin Selena! She’s due to give birth next week but doesn’t look big and ungainly at all. The benefits of being tall! By comparison, my colleague who’s due the exact same day looks like she’s about to burst open like an overripe fruit with every step.
